Travelling to India being naturalised

Hi guys,

Wonder if anyone could advise here.

My British naturalization got approved today. And I have my ceremony on 5th November.

I am travelling to India on last week of December.

My question here.

1. Should I get British passport and travel to India. With 3 month grace period?

2. When does the 3 month grace period count from? The date you receive the British passport or the date on the naturalization certificate?

3. Or should I wait after I get back from India then apply for British passport?

4. E- visa ??

Please advise guys..

Kind Regards

It starts from date of certificate of naturalisation.

You also have to return your ILR brp card to HO within 5 days of your ceremony so you won't have that to be able to board a flight or enter the UK on rerun.

Ok.. thanks CR001,

So only option is to have both the passports in hand I suppose. And surrender my Indian passport once I come back ? What do you think ?

Any other options?
