Hi,

I am applying for my daughter aged 5 years for Registrations for British citizenship. She has an ILR status.
Both the parents have ILR status and we are applying for BC as a family.

My queries are:

1. Does the requirement of "should be in the country 5 years before on the date of application" - apply for the child ?
(wanted to sure for this).

Thanks for your response.

Is this for your daughter born in India??

british-citizenship/bc-with-forman-resi ... l#p1556380

If yes, she can only register as British when EITHER parent applies for citizenship or when at least one parent is already British and the other holds ILR.

There is no residence requirement for small children but the above must be met.
