Payment Pending

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I'm an EEA citizen and I have completed all the steps required to submit the online application for Naturalisation. However, after entering my debit card details, I did not receive a confirmation email, and my online application is now stuck on Payment Processing. The page keeps refreshing itself but nothing is happening - online payments typically go through instantly.

Your payment is being processed.

You will be taken to a confirmation page when your payment is complete, or you can leave this page while your payment is being processed and return later. You will be sent a confirmation email once payment is received.

When looking at other people's timeline on this forum, it looks like I should have received the biometric enrolment email and acknowledgment immediately after submitting my application. But I haven't received anything. I am also worried that I haven't received confirmation on where to send my documents, which I think need to be sent within 10 days after submitting my application online.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I just keep waiting or did something go wrong?

Has the money withdrawn from your bank account yet?
When did you submit the application? How long it is keep refreshing payment processing page?
Did you try to ring HO and inform the situation?

I submitted the payment at 7 pm last night and according to my online banking account the transaction has yet to be taken from my account (but it's been deducted from the balance).

I'm asking here because I wasn't sure if this is normal, and based on other people's timelines it looked like it's should have been processed straight away. I don't know why the payment got stuck for me...I haven't had time to ring them yet (and I'd rather not pay the hefty minute rate if I can).

Lorenzo that's indeed not normal. It should have take the payment in seconds as same as any other online payment. There is a non premium rate number to contact HO (or a call centre). Probably it's best to call them and see what they can say about it. This is the free phone number 0300 123 2253. Try it before the weekend.

Dude I rang that HO number for something else and then I asked about your question too. The operator said you should send an email to applyonlinee-support@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Hope you'll sort it out soon. 😀

I emailed them and looks like they will reply on Monday. Why am I so unlucky :cry:

Phew, they managed to solve the problem and I now completed the online application and sent all the documents to Home Office. I can finally sit back, relax, and wait for news.
