First British passport from outside the UK

Hi All,
I have done a research on the forum, but not found a specific answer.

I have had British naturalisation, but never requested the actual British passport as I was using my EU one.
Now, I will have to leave the UK for family reasons.
I have read that the procedure for a first British passport is a bit more complicated than applying from the UK, but, apart from that, I was wondering if it is more likely that it could be refused as not living in the UK at the time of the application.
I do not actually need it at the moment, but I guess I should apply for it at some point!

Thank you
Max

Just to specify: I could apply before leaving, but I do not have with me my uncancelled passport

Start here:

https://www.gov.uk/overseas-passports

I don't see any problem with this.

Thank you alterhase58, I had checked that already, but thank you. :) The most difficult part seems to be finding a suitable countersignatory who has known me for 2 years and with a British passport, while living abroad!
