Hi Gurus

I am running in bit confusion mainly confused by these solicitors.

I am about to receive my first British Passport and my next challenge is changing of sirname on passport.

Now i spoke to solicitor and he said now you become a British so you don't need to change this in your Pakistani passport just make a deed pole and then apply again for new British passport anyone can guide if this is true? As previously i was in an assumption to get it deed pole then change in Pakistan's passport then apply for new British passport with new sirname.

hi upon reading here in the forum i believe as long as your name in your pakistani passport and british passport are the same/align with each other there shouldnt be any problem.
i may be wrong (kindly please correct me if i am) so please wait for others to respond.

Well i visited solicitor today and she Said do deed poll and legalise it and she further said its not legal binding to change in passport as well and do change when its expire or at your convenience..

Is she is telling right?

Thanks for your reply can any one help on this? All i need if i get deed poll done do i have to do passport as well with new name or i can leave it passport for a while..

Any advice on above?
