Registering a Child as a British Citizen

Dear all, I am in desperate need of some proper information regarding my children’s British Citizenship. I am a British Citizen by Decent, born in 1975 in Cyprus. Me and my two children are residing in UK since 2016. I obtained my British Citizenship through my father & mother who were born in Cyprus. My fathers DoB is 1937 and my mother’s DoB is 1952. As you might already know, Cyprus was a British Colony from 1800s till 1960, when Republic of Cyprus was established, so everyone born in Cyprus between those dates were born as British Citizens. My father is also residin in UK since 1957 and my mom joined him in 1971 after they got married. My son (age 9) came to UK on a tourist visa and we are still fighting with home office to get his residency as I can not work because I am a full time carer for my father & I recently start to receive carers allowance. My daughter (age 16) holds a EU passport so she is ok for now. My husband is not living with us in the UK but frequently visiting us with tourist visa.
Now my questions are:
Can I register my children as British Citizen by Double Decent?
Can I register my children as British Citizen as it has been nearly 3 years since they are residing in the UK ?
What other options do we have?
I will be appreciated for all of your advice, thank you.
