Entering UK between citizenship ceremony and receiving UK passport

I just got my British citizenship acceptance letter, huzzah!

I applied for a passport via JCAP, so as I understand it, I will receive my passport 1-2 weeks after my citizenship ceremony.

Unfortunately, I travel a lot for work and have some upcoming trips planned. So it might be that I will pop out of the country during that time.

If I go to my citizenship ceremony, will I be able to travel outside the UK between there ceremony and receiving the UK passport? Or will I have a problem re-entering the UK using my Australian passport (especially as my BRP is no longer valid and will have to be returned)?

Worst case I can cancel the trips, but I'd rather not.

I assume you cant travel if you attend to the ceremony. As you said your BRP will not be valid and you must submit it within 5 working days. Can't you postpone the ceremony until you comeback? Having said that my passport arrived within 7 days of attending to the ceremony but shouldnt take the risk I guess!
