Doubt about MN1 Application

I have received my PR through the EEA route for sometime now. Now I would like to apply for my 16 & 8 year olds for British citizenship. After reading through this forum I understood that I need to apply MN1 for my kids.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Now when applying online form, the very first section titles "Applicant". My question is who is applicant here? My sons? or myself? because when when I try to add "Additional applicant", the form shows options as "Brother under 18", "Sister Under 18".
Can anyone help clarifying who is the applicant here please? thanks

Yes. Under Section 3(1), they expect at least one parent to be British and the other to have PR, etc.

How are your children '16 & 8' years old?? Are they your children with your EU spouse or a previous relationship, as a previous posts states your two children were born in the UK in 2014 and 2016??
