Hi friends,

I need your kind help:

I got ILR last week i.e 29 Jan 2019 with wife and 3 children (today I received my ILR cards). I have my two children under 18 years (1 is 10 years and 2nd is 15 years), the eldest just yesterday became 18 years old, my point is can I apply citizenship of my two under 18 years old children now or wait till completion of ONE year ILR period will apply with myself and other two members (wife and eldest daughter).

I am very grateful for your kind help on above issue.

Regards,

UK born child did not require ILR. You could have skipped ILR completely.

Children born abroad can apply for citizenship only when either parent is applying for citizenship or is already British and the other holds ILR. No shortcut route for children born abroad unfortunately.

Dear CR001, Today we got all 5 ILR cards including my UK born son, so can I apply UK born son citizenship now?

Only for the UK born child yes.

He didn't need ILR, you could have saved you self a lot of mo et by not applying for him.

You should have asked then before applying and you would have been advised.
