I have applied my 7 month old daughter for British citizenship using the MN1 form. I have paid the fee using the new service and booked with a premium centre for an appointment date. Upon uploading the needed documents I have realised that I have misspelled my daughter’s second name. Instead of “Haylee” which is reflected in her birth certificate, I typed “Hailee”. It is an honest mistake but a stupid one. I have always thought that it was with an “I” rather than “Y”. Now I’m so stressed out cause I don’t know how I can solve this issue. I checked online and it says that any changes cannot be made after payment. Cancelling the application is also not ideal because apparently the fee

Changes in my daughter’s birth certificate but it is a lengthy process. Any idea how I could attack this problem? If we go ahead with the application without changing her middle name to the correct one as
Spelt in the birth certificate, would it be rejected? Please help.

Simply write a short covering letter explaining the mistake and upload it.
