***Wrong service Selected in Naturalization application***

Dear All,
I applied for my naturalization application online, but instead of using the New Service(Sopra Steria) option i mistakenly selected the Old Standard service.
Please can you guide me as i have made the payment and now want to change to Sopra Steria as i am flying out of country in the next 2 weeks and can't send my documents to homeoffice.

When I applied, you could change to the new service if you had initially selected the old service, but not the other way around. I'm not sure if this is still available, but you could try to ring the nationality helpline to find out.
Or maybe others on here have suggestions on this point.

Unfortunately i don't see the option ;( i am very upset and not sure what to do. I have tried calling the Nationality service guys but they said home office will get in touch with me in 3-5 days.
Please if anyone has gone through a similar scenario i would be grateful.

Same situation here! I am close to tears. I cannot send away both my and my husband’s passports for 6 months and feel really uncomfortable sending everything without anyone checking! That last step on the website was a bit unclear. Can someone shed some experience please?

You can request for returning your original passports and other documents in case of emergency.

Unfortunately, no update from anyone so far.
The UKVI contact center contacted me saying they can't help me and once the Payment is made it can't be refunded.
They have advised me to send my Original documents to Homeoffice as they can;t change my application type.
So i will take the risk to sending attested copies from a solicitor and write a covering letter explaining why i can;t send my documents.

I would suggest to send Life in Uk test Original and rest send Attested Colour Copies

**** I have received an email back from Home office saying that they can refund since my case consideration has not started.
I now plan to withdraw my application and then apply Fresh on Sopra Steria.

Hi syed, did you mAnage to cancel your application? How did you do it? I got confirmation by email that they would refund most of the fee but when I tried to cancel online it says “I confirm I understand the fee will be not be refunded” I do not want to override their email confirming a refund.

Hello,
Yes , I did receive the refund without cancelling the application. They simply sent me an email and I checked after a week or so and the money was back in my account.
What is the update on your side, did you get the money back ? have you applied again
