Hi,
I want to apply for british citizenship naturalisation and british passport. I have few questions which i got confused, if anyone would help me to explain, I would be very much thankful to you guys.
1. I heard that from December 2018, there is no NCS service so that we have to do online applicationa and post the application. But can we be able to apply british citizenship naturalisation and british passport both at same time? if yes what are the process for both of it at same time.
2.About Professional refree- can retired british army just a soldier but not officer become professional refree?
3. Some of the people are saying mostly in this immigrationboards too, the checklist of documents are:

i) Passport
ii) BRP
iii) Driving licence (optional)
iv) Referees
v) Life in UK

and not mentions about employment history, proof of residency, p60, bank statement, utility bills.-

Do we still need these extra documents?
4.I was employeed at the company and paid tax as a PAYE but these days i am working as self employed. If we need these documents-what kind of documents i need to prepare showing tax paid as an employed and self employed?

Expect some good answers from you guys. Many thanks in advance.

Please do not tag your questions onto other members topics.

1. Yes, you apply online and depending on the service you choose with UKCVAS Sopra service, you upload your documents, attend the centre for checks and biometrics. You cannot apply for citizenship and passport at the same time anymore.

2. You need to find a referee that is on HO's approved list of referees.

3. Citizenship requires minimal documents. More required if you are an EU citizen or EEA Family member. Driving licence NOT required. You MUST submit proof of meeting the English language requirement. You are not repeating the ILR process. The employment and proof of residency etc is required for EU citizens and their family as their passports don't get stamped when travelling into the UK.

4. If you are self employed, the form likely tell you what you need to submit.

So, i am not from EU member and EEA, it means i do not have to submit proof of residency and employment tax?

You are required to complete the form with your employment history as asked.

There is no requirement to submit employment documents unless the checklist asks for evidence of your self employment.
