After my husband was granted ilr in march...we applied for his British citizenship application on 5th april. we were told it can take up to 4 to 8 weeks.
Now heres where a problem has come about.
dvla has mistakenly sent a driving endorcement to my husband.....the real person who has committed this driving offense has the same name and date of birth so we believe this is where the confusion has started.
we emailed dvla and york magistrates to raise this concern....and after a investigation they realised they made a error. my husbands record has been cleared on the dvla record.
yesterday however when my husband went to the doctor....the doctor asked if he just came out of prison....my husband then explained how it was a confusion by the dvla they sent out the driving offense to the wrong person....i think he must have done his time in prison but all this information is being written on my husbands records.
we then took all my husbands identity documents and met with the doctors manager....and explained what happened. she then emailed all this paper work to the prison to tell them about this error im hoping they get this sorted.....
thanks to dvla we are now worried about my husbands record been spoilt and are concerned if his nutrilisation application will be refused because of this.
is there anything else we can do to clear my husbands record. ive done a license check online....all is clear.....ive requested for a police record check to see what information police have on their record...but this will take a month. ive rang dvla and york magistrates court....they said from our side my husbands record is clear....and that they didnt give any information the the doctors.
should we go and report this to our local police station.
what a complete mess....surely the dvla should check peoples address and photo id before they send out any driving endorcements to make sure its the right person who actually committed the offense.
any advice will be appreciated.
