Help please,
Am thinking of applying to register my 2 children aged 11 and 15 as British citizens under sec 3(1). They joined me in the UK as my dependants under the tier 2 visa and 've being here for 4yrs plus. I have since got my ILR and about to apply for my citizenship by naturalisation. My husband has just got his ILR. My question is, with the information I have provided above do I stand a chance of getting citizenship for my kids under the discretionary sec 3(1)? Also, any advice from people who have used this route would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Children born abroad are expected to hold ILR before they can apply for citizenship, especially older kids like yours, who also have to meet the good character requirement.
