British passport application - documents from abroad

Hi all,

I am about to apply for a passport, but as I am away quite a bit, I want to time it, so that the courier arrives on a week when I’m in my flat.

Is it possible to use my UK address, but to send the application itself (online, supporting documents) when I am away travelling (eg from Europe, DHL). That would not be classified as ‘from abroad’ I imagine, and the documents would still come back to my UK address?

Thanks!

Have you attended your ceremony already?

You are required to send your foreign passport with yourapplication for a British passport.

Yes, that’s not an issue. I will be travelling with my EU ID card

So simy submit while in the UK then. No need to "apply from abroad".

There is a different link to apply from abroad.

If I do that, it will likely arrive on a week I am not in. I read that the courier often wants signature and that DX return passport to HMPO in a week if no one is in

They often put it through the post box.

It is impossible to know when it will be completed and delivered, especially this time of year just before summer.
