Hi, I have got my citizenship through naturalisation on 25th May 2019. I am filling a paper application for British passport. There is a section where they're asking about my parents details. Both my parents are not British, should I be filing this section?
Would really appreciate your help. Ta

You need to fill in parent details.

You do NOT have to fill in grandparent details.

Hi GAli13, may I ask is there a reason you chose the paper application and not the online one? Which one is better?

I am not sure if there is any difference to be honest. I am going with paper application because of check and send service.

What is Check & Send service, is it like the Sopra Steria naturalisation service?

Some post offices provide this service where they check our application and send to HMPO.

The passport application is really straight forward especially compared to the actual naturalisation application.
In my opinion there is no real value in check and send and you can just complete it all online and mail with documents by recorded delivery and safe about 10 pounds.

I'd echo that. The online application is MUCH simpler to fill out as well, so there's if you need that, there's absolutely no need for a 'check and send'. You can complete it on your phone in less than 5 minutes.
