Hello there. I had my indefinite leave to remain visa in November 2017. I was going to apply for naturalisation or British Passport but I had a conviction on 1st July 2017. The court fined me £550 plus 6 points on the license.
I asked my solicitor if I can apply for naturalisation but I was told that I have to wait 3 years until the conviction expires.
I wanted to apply for a Private Hire Licence. They require a DBS check.
I have received my DBS check results today and there is no conviction on it.

Police records of convictions, cautions, reprimands amd warnings; NONE

Can I apply for naturalisation? Thanks in advance.

No you must wait until 3 years have already passed. Good character requirement fails:
Fines
A fine counts as a criminal conviction and forms part of someone’s criminal record. Fines must be declared and may result in refusal if received within the last three years. Failure to declare may result in an application being refused on the grounds of deception.
