British citizenship - validity of ID

Hello,

I need to pass the life in the UK test and the language test, then apply for the citizenship.
One of the document listed is a National Identity card.
Mine looks like it has expired. It is technically not, because France extended their validity.
Am I at risk to be refused to pass the test and my application rejected if my ID expiry date looks passed?

You don't need it. Use your passport as identification.
