Hi guys
Sorry if this question asked before but I can’t find my answer.
I’m holding the PR (EEA4) and about to apply for naturalisation in August, was wondering If I can use my old ielts test that I took in 2006 as a proof of knowledge of English language?
I never used my ielts in any immigration purposes before.
Thank you

The English Test is generally only valid for two years.
You will need to take a current test (B1) on the approved list of tests and test centres.

IELTS is valid for 2 year, after 2 year - you can throw it away, as you would need to re-do the test.

Not necessarily.

So you mean I can’t use my old ielts result just because I didn’t use it when I applied for my PR?!! Or purely because it’s old?

Both.
You need to do a new B1 test that is on the current HO approved test and test provider list.
If you have a UK degree, you can use that too.
