Citizenship requirements

Hello members,
I got my ILR 2 years back based on tier-2 general 5 years route and now I’m planning to apply for my citizenship.
I went to my home country in Aug-2014 and was there for three months. Now my doubt is
1. Can I apply for my citizenship immediately?
2. Do I need to wait for 3 months as I was not here in UK before 5 years of citizenship application?
thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Many thanks,
B.

1. You can apply when you meet all the requirements.
2. If you apply online before the date 5 years ago that you went home, why do you believe you have to wait 3 months if you only left in August and it is still July now?

Thanks CR001 for your quick reply.
I’m planning to apply in next month.
Is there any requirement that the applicant should be physically here in UK on the same day of 5 years before?
Many thanks,
B.

You know the answer already. Its mentioned in so many posts here and you probably have read the guidance. Why do you persist with the question and wait for an answer?

Yes it is a mandatory requirement. If you were not physically present 5 years ago when you apply, you will be refused and lose your fee.
Suggest apply when you meet this requirement.
