Error South African birth certificate

Hello,

I am applying for British citizenship through double descent and have submitted my application...everything is fine except for my mother's birth certificate

She was born in South Africa in 1949 and on her unabridged birth certificate instead of having the dates of birth of her parents they have put their ages when she was registered.

As my mum's birth was now over 70 years ago is there any way this can be corrected?
I have tried calling the high commission and the various South African consuls all day yesterday and all day today...no luck.
I have heard that even to go to the high commission in London doesn't guarantee you actually seeing anyone.

Has anyone ever had this problem and how have you solved it?

Thanks so much

My mum was born in 1928 in South Africa and I submitted her unabridged and vault birth certificates as part of my application. They both showed her parents ages and not their birth dates. My application was successful, so I don’t think this is a problem. Good luck 🍀
