Citizenship Application (AN) but previously overstayed

Hi All

Here is a time line immigration history

Nov 2002 visitors visa (6 months)
April 2003 Student visa (1 year and working part time)
May 2004 Student visa (1 year and working part time
October 2005 visa refused
** overstayed visa and continued to work until 2013 march**
May 2013 married to British citizen
April 2014 returned to country of origin to regularise stay
June 2014 granted leave to remain Set (M)
July 2014 returned to UK
march 2017 renewed visa
August 2019 ILR granted

I have been reading through the good character guidance and am concerned that due to my questionable immigration history (previously overstaying and working illegally) this may mean i will be refused citizenship as i don't meet the good character requirements or do I ???.

Is their something i have missed or not aware of that may assist my application ??

Any help/ advise on this is appreciated

I apologise for the length of the post, i feel detail is important on immigration matters.

thanks

Tai

You will likely only have a successful application in July 2024, 10 years from the date you got your spouse visa.
October 2005 visa refused
** overstayed visa and continued to work until 2013 march**
May 2013 married to British citizen
April 2014 returned to country of origin to regularise stay
It is not only the overstaying, it is the working in the UK when you had no permission to work. So you were in breach of more than one rule for almost 9 years. Highly unlikely HO will look favourably on this until at lease 10 years from when you returned on your spouse visa.
