Apply for children along with main applicant or dependant?

Hi,
I have read a few posts by CR001 that have led to some confusion. I am hoping I have interpreted the posts correctly, if not, please let me know.

Background
I have two PBS dependants (my wife and son) eligible for ILR. I am about to apply for their ILR under the super priority service any time now.

At the same time, I am eligible to apply for Naturalisation from 4th September.

Interpretation & Questions
If I read the posts correctly, can I apply for Naturalisation of my son along with my own application under Section 3(1) once he and my wife get the ILR? This will require that I wait it out a bit

Or should I proceed with my Naturalisation application, attend the ceremony and then register my son along with Naturalisation application of my wife?

Are both the options available to me?

Let me know. Thanks!

Yes, provided your spouse has ILR. Note that if your citizenship fails, the child's will likely also fail.

Or you can apply for the child when your wife applies. It really makes no difference.

Apologies for circling back with more questions.

My son first came to the UK on 1st October 2014, which means he likely won't complete whole five years at the intended time of application.

Does the rule of being present in UK on the date of application also apply to him? or can I proceed with the application as long as I was present in the UK on the date of application?

Thank you as always!
