My Q is about MN1 from, it asks for ILR ref number. I am about to apply for ILR, so obviously I don't have ILR ref number. So I can't apply for my child's brisitsh citizenship without my ILR?

What if my child's leave to remain expires while my application is in process.

You cannot apply for MN1 until you have been granted ilr.

If the child is UK born, they do not need a valid visa or ilr to register as British.

How old is the child?

The child does NOT need ILR. But YOU must have ilr before you can apply for her on MN1.
