My Dear Friends, :(

I have applied for Naturalisation as a British citizen in January 5th i got acknowledgement and decision will be made in 6 months time frame, its going to be 1 year anniversary in two months.

My colleague and neighbour in the flat applied after me in march, may got the decision less than 4 months and received the British passport aswell.

Its really frustrating i have done everything accordingly, even im the one who did everything for my colleagues application as i did for me but i still not received anything i contacted home office last week replied with same old email that its still being considered.

Please advise me what i can do speed up the process, should i contact my local mp for help? Can i complain to home office?
Its really Depressing and frustrating.
Please share your expertise .
thanks for your time

Hello

I am surprised by this time.

What's your immigration history?

Is there any element in your immigration history that you think of could make the processing of your application more complicated?

What's your current citizenship?

As long as they are working on it, you can't do anything. It's not a right really and they are not bound by any time frame or SLA.

Ive been waiting for over 8 months and contacted the Home office myself and with my local MP. got the same reply saying they need to conduct internal and external searches and refuse to give me any further info...

Now that Parliament is dissolved, there are no MPs until 17th December (when the newly elected MPs get sworn in).
