Hi All,

Can someone please help with the citizenship documents question? We (Me, my wife and child) are applying for
citizenship on 19th Feb. Do we need to show address proof for last 5 years? What would be accepted as address proof?

Thanks,
G

It will be nice if you provide a bit of background information about your immigration history. However, I can see that you came via the Tier 2 visa. Yes, you will need to provide evidence of your residence. Council tax, P45, P60 or any other document issued by the government could be used.

If the OP has got ilr based on tier 2 then they would not necessarily need p60, council tax etc letters. I don't think these are needed unless someone is from the EU then they have to prove residency through these docs. Others can prove by passport unless it is expired etc.

No address proof is required.

To prove residence, you only need your passports.

Indeed what is required is the passport to prove residence. Actually all passports expired or not. As the HO is usually interested in the stamps in the passports. However, it is not uncommon for people to include government issued documents like council tax to support their application.
