Redirecting mail to a mail forwarding service-Home Office letters

Hi all,
I will be abroad from July and leaving my current flat. I will return in September to find a new flat. In order to ensure I don’t miss any important letters I will use UKpostbox to have a physical address to receive correspondence and redirect all my mails there so I can view them online.
My question is, does the Royal Mail redirecting service applies on government letters e.g. Home Office or HRMC? I don’t want to miss any correspondence from home office regarding my BC application.
Thank you in advance

Royal Mail doesn't distinguish mail by sender - all mail addressed to you will be forwarded.

Yes that's what I thought but then I read on the terms and conditions this :
10.10 There are laws that prevent us from redirecting certain items. There are also laws that require us to return certain items to the sender and we may need to inform the authorities of
this (for example, mail from government departments related to benefits). Even if we accept an application, any such items will not be redirected to the new address.
I dont receive any benefits but Home Office is a government department hence my question.

Never used mail redirection so wasn't aware of that clause - may other members had experience of this?

You are overthinking. It applies specifically to dwp or council housing benefit letters and the envelopes specifically have printed on them that they cannot be redirected.

Around 30-40% post still goes to old address without being redirected that almost 10% gets ameliorated if you constantly keep complaining. Also letters through private couriers are never redirected. In compensation you might get a reward of 1/2 pack of 1st class postal tickets at max.
Clarification on documents required for BC online application

Hello again.
It is still a bit unclear about which documents I need to upload under which category into the online system.
I have been reading all posts but I get the feeling that the categorisation of the documents required has changed.
I submitted my application a few days ago online after 1 year of EU Settled Status(IRL)
So under the
Mandatory Documents I only see two categories:
- Other - Evidence that you have been in the UK lawfully for your 3 or 5 year qualifying residence period. This should be evidence that you were here as a worker, student, self-employed, self-sufficient, retired or incapacitated person, If you spent some of that time in the UK as a student or as a self-sufficient person, and had comprehensive sickness insurance (CSI), a copy of your sickness insurance policy
So in this category the only proof I have to prove I have been working are my P60's so I uploaded these. No CSI required as I dont have any employment gaps.
- Proof of Application The passport issued by Greece for ___
ok that is clear I uploaded my passport - question do I need to scan even empty pages or just the pages with the stamps? do I need to scan the front cover too?
Then moving on to the Optional Documents:
- Residence in the UK (no description provided)
Do I have to upload my P60's again? I have been reading in other posts that the P60's prove residency but I dont understand why I need to upload them two times. Or is it here that I can prove my address by uploading various bills? Or should I upload just the EU Settlement Status Outcome letter? I am very confused please help.
For the rest of the optional categories Its clear.
Many thanks

That's just how the system is laid out ... confusing.
No need to upload P60s again - they are used for proof of residency (not for proof of working). It doesn't really matter where you upload because caseworkers will see all documents anyway. Bills or banks statements are not normally accepted for AN.

But it is a requirement to prove I was exercising Treaty Rights so need to show I was employed. if P60's are not a proof of working then what is it?

For naturalisation you are required to be "free of immigration time restrictions" - your PR or Settled Status is just that. P60s are used for residency because EU citizens' passports don't get stamped in/out. If you are non-EU under UK ILR then all you need to provide is your passport, but you are clearly EU.

Ok I see. I will stop overthinking it then. Thank
You
Penalty charges declaration

Hi all,
I have already submitted my application but now I am having second thoughts about not declaring 3 penalty charges. I dont own a car but I have been renting a lot all these years in the uk.
I received one penalty charge notice in 2015 for being in a bus lane with a rental car in Oxford and I paid it immediately.
Then in 2016 I received a speeding penalty in Spain with a rental car, again no delay with payment.
Lastly I didn't have the correct ticket on a train and received a penalty of £20 that I also paid immediately.
Do you think I need to write a letter declaring these penalties and upload it with my documents?

A bus lane is not a fixed penalty
