We have a very similar case, however would like to explore all options for my child's registration.

We have got my ILR now, our child was born in the UK before we got our ILR (mom and dad) and is currently on PBS dependent visa (expires in June 2021). Both parents will be eligible to apply for citizenship (naturalisation) in February 2022.

We are considering 2 options at the moment:
Option 1: registering our son as a British citizen through MN1 route straight away, afterwards apply for the passport.
Option 2: delay the registration process until both parents apply for naturalisation and obtain their UK passports, then apply for our son?

While I understand option 1 is the more straight forward option, is option 2 viable at all? And if yes, what are pros and cons (if any) in your opinion?

Appreciate your valuable input.

Really does not matter. You have to follow Option 1 anyways. You having British Citizenship is immaterial for the child’s registration. The child can be registered now or later. The process will be the same.
