Certificate of Entitlement to Right of Abode COE-ROA Query

Hi all,
My brain is a bit frizzled from researching this online and was hoping for advice specifically on the Certificate of Entitlement to Right of Abode (COE-ROA). In summary:
- I was born in South Africa (1993)
- Mom was born South African, but dad was born a dual British-SA citizen in 1961 (my Grandfather was UK-born)
- Dad moved to and since lived in the UK in 2001
- I moved to Australia and became an Australian citizen (2014) and renounced my SA citizenship
- I currently stay with dad in the UK under a 2-year Youth Mobility Visa (T5), which expires 25 March 2021
- I have decided to stay and pursue naturalisation if possible
My Options:
(1) Certificate of Entitlement - Right of Abode: "Applicant was born outside the UK ..., to a parent born in the UK ... or to a parent registered or naturalised in the UK prior to the applicant’s birth"
( as per https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... de_ROA.pdf ), which specifies, "Registration in the UK includes registration in an independent Commonwealth country (including South Africa before 1 January 1966...) by the British High Commissioner". Otherwise;
(2) UK Ancestry Visa (due to my British-born Grandfather): can I apply inside the UK due to Covid?
Does anyone have similar experience or knowledge to draw from and confirm my eligibility to the COE-ROA pathway?
