I understand I need two referees for neutralization, can I use my operational manager (A large manufacturing company with Vat reference number) as a professional refere? If yes, do I need his/her

You need to fill referee details in the online form before submission and get the referee declaration signed then:
1) Full Name
2) DOB
3) Address for last 3 years (or 5 not sure)
4) Email
5) Profession
6) British Passport Number (for one referee).
7) Relationship with referee
8 Mobile/contact number

I assume you mean naturalisation. The professional referee needs to be of a recognised/chartered profession, e.g. doctor, solicitor, architect etc. or a priest.

Yes it's for neutralization. From the Cullinan link above, i can see acceptable professional persons which includes director, manager or personnel officer of a VAT registered company. I assume my work manager will be okay if he agrees.

Can the referee forms dated before or after date of application?

Please which of the one referee do I need his/her passport number? A friend or professional

I am not good with letters. Am drafting out letter to send to my manager about the referee. Please advice if I need to add or subtract from below.

I am currently applying for naturalization for British citizenship and am hoping you will be able to act as a referee for me. One of the requirement is a professional referee who has known me for at least 3 years.

The online form requires my referee:

Full name.
Past 3 years home address.
Date of birth.
Passport number.
Profession.
Email address and telephone number.

Attached is a sample of refere form which is to sign and dated at the end of the application.

I recently submitted my naturalization application. I was asked about 10years employment history though I only been living in the UK since 2015 via spouse visa. I only included my permanent/contracted jobs in the last four years.

My question is I remembered working with two different agencies for a short period ( can't remember their names or dates) when I first moved in into uk. Should I write a cover letter this? Thanks
