I applied for my first british passport on 1st September 2021 at peterborough hmpo. I sent my documents via royal mail special delivery on 3/9/21 and according to Royal mail it has been delivered on 6/9/21 at 07:09 am. Yet I don’t see any updates until now when i sign in to track my application. I didn’t receive any email or text either.

Is it normal to take this much of time to update the receipt of the documents? I checked others documents being updated within 24 hrs of delivered. Does anyone has same issues? Please let me know if you are also waiting for the documents status update?

Yes its normal i sent mine to Peterborough hmpo and it took about 5 days to update .i received text and email about 5 days from them receiving the documents.since the 18th of August have not had any update about my application.

Hi, I have posted documents for me and daughter ( different places) last week Thursday (2nd sep)and received by passport office according to Royal Mail on 3rd at 8 am. I only received text and email from passport office on 8th sep (after 5 days) for both me and daughter .

Thank you very much k187 and akava. Highly appreciated for your kind information. I was just feeling little nervous in case anything goes wrong. I have nothing in my hand now.
Have you already got your passport and documents back already? How long did it take? If i may ask.
