Hi All,

This may have beeen answered many times, but please for my understanding can I check that which passport we have to submit when applying for the passport? The HMPO website says:

You were born outside the UK
What documents you need depend on your circumstances.

You have a certificate of naturalisation or registration
You’ll need both:

your naturalisation or registration certificate
the passport you used to come into the UK or the foreign passport you’re included on



The passport i used to enter UK is now expired, don't mind sending that one, but am I supposed to send the current one as well,( as per above text copied from the website) it doesn't look like.

Any thoughts?

You need to send your current passport AND any expired uncancelled passports.

Sorry for jumping onto this thread. I am surrendering my Indian passport before applying for the first Adult British Passport, post Naturalization. Do I still have to send HO my cancelled passport or I can select the option that I don't currently have a passport?
