Dear Sir/Madam,

A lady will apply BC next month, got DLR 6 years and then ILR 3 years ago but problem is all the 3 time (2 time DLR & 1 Time ILR) she missed to put her before marriage surname on applications whereas attached her marriage certificate for two occasions (DLR extension & ILR time). Can she put now her surname of before marriage and current surname of husband? Will home office refused her application? She said all lake of knowledge that's why missed to entered previous surname.

Please advise.

Regards,

Naturalisation isn't a continuation of the immigration process - it's a separate application and she should enter all the correct details as they are now. Not aware that applicants are penalised for mistakes in previous immigration applications, unless deception was found to be involved.

Thanks Sir. Can she put cover note with details or just fill the application as normal with pre-marriage surname?

Regards,

Not sure where on the online form the maiden name is entered probably under "other names" - you can also attach a note to explain and load with your other documents, if you wish.
