Hi, can you please help me

I applied for the first passport for my 12 year old. Today I got this email

Dear xxxxccc

Application reference: PExxxxxxx

We need you to confirm you have parental responsibility for xxxxx xxxxxx before we can continue and print their passport.

For further information about parental responsibility: https://www.gov.uk/parental-rights-resp ... onsibility

What you need to do
To confirm you have parental responsibility, send 1 of the following documents:

Xxxx’s full birth certificate if it lists your name (in Scotland, you can only do this if you registered their birth on or after 4 May 2006)
an adoption certificate which lists your name
If you don’t have an original birth, adoption or marriage certificate, order an official copy at: https://www.gov.uk/order-copy-birth-dea ... ertificate

I have the original birth certificate from the country where the child was born with my name on it.. Is that what needs sending? I'm confused about the Scotland related part above. I live in Scotland

The birth certificate is hand written and stamped and lists my first name only. I have used it in all previous immigration applications.

THANK YOU.
