Relocating abroad temporarily after getting citizenship

Hello all
After spending 12 years in the UK, I was granted British citizenship and UK passport 3 months ago. However, an unexpected professional opportunity came up in Dubai which would require me to relocate there for a few years. Apologies if this is a silly question, but as a naturalised British, am I allowed to live abroad for several years even if I declared in my citizenship application that I intend to make UK as my home?. I still consider UK to be my home as I intend to return after a few years .
Your help would be much appreciated
Thanks

You declared truthfully at the time of your application, presumably. Now you have an unexpected opportunity so you are free to go, you are a British citizen with all the rights any other British citizen has, including leaving the UK for any length of time.

You are. You can very well move for a longer time and come back after retirement. I received my passport last month and on a similar path. There is an exciting opportunity in US but I'm still not convinced with all the gun crimes.
