Dear Sir/Madam,

My husband and I are living in UK under indefinite leave to remain status.
I have 2 Children (7 years old and 9 years old) born in Malaysia and they have been granted indefinite leave to remain status (Tier 2 dependant route) since March 2021. They have been living in UK since August 2015. I am thinking of applying British Citizenship for my 2 children, but both of my husband and myself remain the status of indefinite leave to remain status. Based on my understanding of my understanding from the following document 'Children with settlement and residence' at Page 28
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... ildren.pdf

It seems that it is possible to do so. Please could you advise if I understand incorrectly? Thank you.

Your children can only apply for British Citizenship if one of the parents is also applying. Otherwise, they have to wait till their 18 years of age and apply for themselves.
