Questions regarding citizenship application

Hi,
I'm a Chinese national applying for British citizenship with the IRL+1 route. I would like to ask for help about two doubts that came up while I was filling out the online forms:

1) To count days of absence from the UK over the last year, I wonder if the day of departure (and/or the day of return) are considered as absences? Or perhaps only the day of return? Just to give a random example, if I traveled to Paris on June 1st and returned on June 4th 2022, how many days of absence are calculated?

2) In In the “immigration details” box, do I have to list my past immigration records (before the IRL)? If so, should these details go back to the last 5 years, or perhaps the last 10 years?

Many thanks in advance

1) To count days of absence from the UK over the last year, I wonder if the day of departure (and/or the day of return) are considered as absences? No - departure and return day are not counted as absence days.Or perhaps only the day of return? Just to give a random example, if I traveled to Paris on June 1st and returned on June 4th 2022, how many days of absence are calculated? 2 days

2) In In the “immigration details” box, do I have to list my past immigration records (before the IRL)? If so, should these details go back to the last 5 years, or perhaps the last 10 years? It asks for any applications, meaning all.

Many thanks in advance

That's very clear, thank you for this reply!

I apologize but I have two more small doubts:

1) For the question about the type of employment, as owner of a limited company would 'Director' qualify as the right answer?

2) Is a university professor one of the qualified professions to act as a referee for the nationality application?

Many thanks again!

A university professor is fine for a qualified professional. I am not sure about the difference between "owner" and "director" of a limited company, the two may not coincide.
