Citizenship application impact

Hi,

I got my ILR from Tier 2 dependant visa. I can apply for citizenship in a couple of months.

I have applied for a brand name/website trademark (with IPO), and it looks like it might lead to legal proceedings with someone defending their old trademark against mine - I am not sure what the outcome will be.

If it goes to court, can this impact my British citizenship application? I understand that I should not be involved in legal/court cases to have a clear record.

I am concerned, so I wanted to be sure before proceeding.

Thanks in advance.

If there is any danger of going to court, I would stay clear of this until you get citizenship approval.

Thanks for your response. I would appreciate it if any other admin/moderator could also give their views.

It is a business to business Intelectual Property Office matter/case and not anything related to me personally (I just wanted to clarify)

Appears this is a civil/commercial matter between business entities and will not impact your application which is personal to you, even if a claim would be brought against you personally. It's not a criminal matter - civil cases are common in business and not in scope of the "good character" requirements.
