Child born outside the UK and had Settled status

My friend got her Settled status in 05/2021.
Her eldest son was born abroad 10 years ago and got his settled status in 08/2022. There's no connection with his father. Is he eligible to apply for BC now using MN form?
My friend's youngest son was born in the UK 3 years ago and received his settled status in 06/2022. His father has settled status. Is he automatically British citizen or they have to apply using MN form?
Thank you

A child born in the United Kingdom to an EEA national after 30 April 2006 will be a British citizen if their parent had been in the United Kingdom exercising EC Treaty rights in accordance with the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006 for more than 5 years or has indefinite leave to remain.

Thank you for your input.
She came here to work in April 2016 and has no gaps in employment till now. Both her children were born whilst she has not acquired 5 years of exercising treaty rights but they all have settled status now.
Do they have to wait for one year after they acquired settled status to apply for BC or when are they elegible apply?
