Timeline:
Neutralisation application made: 27/01/23
Biometric taken: 06/02/23
After biometric appointment, i received a text message from UKVCAS stating we can confirm that UKVI have received your information. This is more than 6 months, i have not received any confirmation letter from UKVI. What can i do regarding this? Please i will appreciate your advise.

It does happen that some applicants don’t get an acknowledgment email, but the text was clear, UKVI received your application. But it being now at 6 months you are free to ask for an update. Use any or all of these email addresses: british-citizenship/nationality-enquire ... l#p2093594

Dear All,
I received an email from the council on Tuesday, stating they have received my certificate from the Home Office and i should book a citizenship ceremony.

I went ahead and booked an appointment out of excitement, got a date in two weeks time for a citizenship ceremony. The appointment letter states i should attend with a photo ID and Home Office invitation letter.

As i have not yet received the home office invitation. Please my concern is if i don't receive the home office invitation letter, can i attend using the email from the council which shows the have received my certificate.

Please any advice is highly appreciate.

Council knows you are approved that’s why they have your certificate. Take your ID show that and explain.
