British Citizenship, including cancelled application in previous UK immigration history question

Hello everyone!

I am in the process of applying for my British citizenship via the spouse route (I.e. Naturalisation). I actually initially applied in September of this year however after paying the application fee I noticed I was missing some information in my application so I decided to withdraw my application before doing my biometrics hence I obtained a full refund recently.

I am now in the process of my second attempt at completing my naturalisation application, my question is in the section: 'Immigration details' section, question 'Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?', do I need to include my cancelled naturalisation application along with my other immigration applications?

I think I have a few options:
1. Include the cancelled naturalisation application in this section.
2. Do not include in this section
3. Do not include in this section, but state in cover letter that I did cancel my previous naturalisation application and why.
4. Do not include in this section, but state it in the last question 'Do you have any other details that you would like to be considered regarding this applicant and their application to be registered as a British Citizen?', similar to 3.
5. Any other options?

Please let me know if I should clarify anything, and I appreciate your help in this forum.

Thanks

No.

Citizenship is NOT an 'immigration application'.

No need to state anything about the withdrawn application in the form or in a letter.

Thanks for your response, although I would have thought that citizenship is a form of an immigration application because it is the process in which someone who is foreign with an indefinite leave to remain (like myself) changes their immigration status to become a British citizen? Is that not the case?

Sorry to push back but just want to be sure.

This is explained on a daily basis, here and elsewhere.
A British citizen cannot hold an immigration status, you are either British or not.
Note that your naturalisation application is not based on the UK immigration regulations, but on the provisions of the British Nationality Act 1981. Once you have become British everything immigration is extinguished. The question is asked so that UKVI understand your immigration history prior to naturalisation, their records may not be complete.

Thank you both, I appreciate both your responses and clarification on this topic, and apologies as I must have missed this definition on the forum.
