registering a minor as citizen - 5 year requirement?

Hi,
I aim to register my child as a citizen, as he has been in the countrry as a tier 2 dependent for 5 years and has now held ILR (like both the parents) for over a year.
My question is, do we need to wrry about whether or not he was in the country exactly 5 years ago (e.g. if he happened to be on holiday at that time?), assuming he was in the country before that.

Thank you

No such requirement for minors.
Have you reviewed the MN1 guidance?

Yes I reviewed the guidence and didnt see anything, but I didn't want to miss some unknown rule! especially since I was vaguely aware of such a requirement that has tripped people up in the past.

Many thanks

That is an absolute rule for adult naturalisation - as it is laid down in the British Nationality Act (and explained in the AN guidance). As children are "registered" the requirement is not specified for children.
