6 Months plus waiting for citizenship application

Dear all

Has anyone put a guide in place on the steps that should be taken if a decision hasn't been received within 6 months? When I search the forum, there is a lot of information but it is all scattered around. If there is I would appreciate sharing it, if not maybe I will get on the journey of preparing one! If you agree it is helpful.

I had been thinking of this myself as well. The steps I have identified are:

- Write to

public.enquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk
(possibly without the ".gsi")

- Apply for a SAR and see if you can find out anything useful https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... mmigration
- Raise a complaint https://www.gov.uk/government/organisat ... -procedure
- Ask for a formal review of the complaint
- Follow up with the ICE once you receive a formal review complaint https://www.gov.uk/guidance/make-a-comp ... complaints e-mailing iec@homeoffice.gov.uk or writing to PO BOX 6147, SHEFFIELD, S2 9JD
- Ask your MP to refer you to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman if you can't find a resolution through the IEC https://www.ombudsman.org.uk/
