Neutralisation application for spouse and child born abroad

I would like to get some clarity on the process of acquiring British Citizen for myself and my son born abroad.

We both have just received our ILR. As a spouse of a British Citizen I understand I can apply for naturalisation
immediately, however does this same entitlement pass on to our son who was born abroad. My husband (British) is my sons step father.

Would I be able to apply for the both of us immediately or does my son need to wait 12 months to be eligible?
We have both lived in the uk for 5 years.

Thank you

There’s no minimum wait period for children so you can apply together.

Just to note, for the purposes of citizenship, step parent is irrelevant. You can include your son in your application, provided he is under the age 18. If your application fails, your son's application will also likely fail.
