Hi everyone,

My British citizenship application was approved today. I applied for my 9yo daughter at the same time but only had an approval email for myself.

Will she get a separate email please? I have also emailed my local council to check if they have received an invitation for her just in case.

Children under 18 do NOT attend a ceremony or get an invite to a ceremony.

Each application is assessed and processed on its own merits and often at different times. There is no 'dependent' concept for citizenship.

If the child is approved, you will either receive the certificate in the post or at your ceremony.
