Hi, I have received my British Citizenship early this year. My wife is still Bangladeshi. She is 30 weeks pregnant. We are planning to have our baby delivered in Bangladesh among family. From my research I can see the baby is entitled to inherit British citizenship. But before the baby comes back to UK she will obviously need her British passport. Does anyone know what's the procedure for applying for that outside of UK?

Be aware that first British passport applications for British citizens by descent children born in the Subcontinent can take six months to a year. So factor that in in case your wife is on a visa.
Also be aware that while the child itself will be a British citizen by descent, their children (your grand children) born outside the UK will not automatically be British citizens. British citizenship is restricted to one generation born outside the UK.

Could be significantly quicker to obtain a Bangladeshi passport and a ROA for your child, then apply for first British passport once in the UK.
