Hello.

My wife is preparing to apply for her full citizenship after completing her permanent residence under FLR(m).
Most of the criteria is bog standard at this point, but we have a quick question regarding travel history. My wife travels a great deal with work and we have tried to keep track of her ins and outs, but we are apprehensions about getting this correct. We have been told that she can request an SAR from UK.gov to confirm dates. The question we are seeking is which of the three types (Basic, Detailed or specific) of requests do we need to make just to get the minimal information of travel history for the last 3 years?

Any help would be super.

regards,

A basic SAR should be enough, making sure to mention in the request that the dates of crossing the borders are needed. Wife will also need ILR and to have held it for a year (the latter is waived if you are a British citizen).

Hello,

We got our SAR back so that is all sorted.

The question we now face is regarding my citizenship.
The application is asking whether I am a Naturalized citizen - Yes, or No.
I was born outside the UK, but both my parents were UK Citizens, so all I did was apply for a passport.

How do we answer this question, as when we answer yes, it asks for citizenship number, which I do not have.

We are in the process of filling out the citizenship application and we have discovered that due to My wife traveling for work and to help her elderly mother, she has been out of the country 321 days in the last 3 years, which is more than the 270 allowed. Can she still apply? She has visited her Mother more than normal in the last three years since her father passed. We own our own home and she is full time employed.

What can we do?

She can apply but she needs to ask for discretion.

What was her absence pattern in the 12 months before her qualifying period started?

You will also need to supply evidence of her employment here (a letter from her employer will be OK), a passport to cover this extra year, a mortgage statement if it has her name on it, refer on the cover letter that she is married to a British citizen, birth certificates of children especially if British.
