Hi,

I have submitted the my daughter's MN1 application on 17th July and did biometrics on 25th July. I have checked the application details in TLS and it says application sent to UKVI. However, this Saturday 11th Oct I have received an email from home office that we have 45 days to complete the biometric but there is no option in the TLS as we already did it. Is anyone been in similar situation and what was the resolution?

Thanks.

Ignore that email.

If you already provided biometrics no need to do anything, just wait for the outcome.

Thanks for your response. I’m a bit concerned because I’ve read on this forums that, for certain applicants, the Home Office lost their biometric data in the past — and it took over a year to resolve the issue.

I also have travel plans in December, and my daughter no longer has a valid UK visa, which adds to the worry in this situation.

Thanks again.

The email can sometimes be sent in error. If you provided biometrics, you should be OK.

MN1 applications have a standard processing time of six months to be processed, or sometimes longer, this is well known. We consistently advise against making travel plan before approval is received, and certainly not relying on being accepted before the six months in order to be able to travel.

I have an email to the TLS and their response is positive at the moment.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting us.
Upon rechecking our system, we can confirm that your application is already transferred to UK Visas & Immigration and you will be contacted directly by UKVI with any updates.
If you have any particular concerns, you can also contact the UK Visas & Immigration enquiry service directly, via the gov.uk website: [https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk]

Best Regards

That's nothing to be concerned about.

The same reminder email you received should say this:
If you have already booked or attended an appointment to enrol your biometrics before seeing this email, then please ignore this reminder.
That's what it says when I received the same reminder.

I'm not sure about those cases of lost biometric data you mentioned, in any case these should be extremely rare. We don't see those often here on the forum.

No need to contact UKVI for this, wait for the outcome on the application.

Today I have received this reply. One of my friends is also waiting for MN1 outcome received similar email a month back. Looks like a generic response. I am worried its not going anywhere.

########

I can confirm you enrolled your daughter’s biometrics on 25 July 2025, however, a technical issue during the enrolment process means they haven’t integrated onto our system correctly.

I have now contacted our technical department to resubmit the data, so please do not worry and please disregard any reminder letters sent to you.

We are unable to provide a specific timescale for this technical issued to be resolved, but we have escalated the issue. We will ensure that as soon as the issue is resolved the case will be expedited for consideration by a caseworker.

If we require anything further from you, then we will be in contact by email.
#####

Thanks.

It looks like a system glitch, which they're already fixing.

These applications can normally take up to 6 months, just need to be patient and wait.

They are telling you that they have received your child's data and not to worry. Your application is still under the 6 months processing time. Try to focus on other things and put your mind at ease.
