Hello all,

To my knowledge dependant kids under 18 need two referee declarations each. We will apply for citizenship in October 2026 and kids are starting a new school in September.

May I kindly ask can old school teacher or nursery provide a letter. And if not teachers who might be providing the referee declarations? The new school might not be giving the declarations as they will known the kids for only a month.

Yes former teachers can do it. If they don't want to provide references ( a well known issue to UKVI) use family friends who have known the children for 3 years.

Can I use the same referees for the kids that I se to myself?
