Hi,

I’m preparing to apply for naturalisation in 2nd week of Nov and would like to know couple of things.

I had 3+3=6 penalty points on my licence which expired this year and I have got them removed 2 months ago. Both time I got these points via court since I was driving on international licence so it had to go through court.
My first offense was in Nov 04 and for driving in a bus lane and
Second was in Jan 05 for driving on expired international licence.

Do I still need to mention these offenses even after the endorsements are removed from my licence?

Would highly appreciate if anyone can help me

Regards,

if you also paid a fine then i believe your offence becomes 'spent' after 5 years of sentence. so you wont need to mention the 1st offence as it is spent but will need to mention the 2nd which expires in January 2010. in my opinion you are better off applying after it is spent, especially in your case cause it is a difference of only 2 and 1/2 months that you have to wait.

thank you for replying. But if i apply now are there any chances that they refuse my case on this basis.

thanks,

Yes there is a good chance of being refused. If you have a look at the last couple of paragraphs on page 18 of the guidance notes http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... ide_an.pdf

Also it may take longer to process the application because of the 'unspent' offence.
